Therefore, the recent changes to Victorian and Queensland Service and Installation Rules have prompted the following changes and additions to our range. One of the changes, designed to prevent mains from becoming detached from the raiser bracket, requires upgrading of the traditional hook attachment to a closed eye attachment. B&R have upgraded the design on all of our existing raiser brackets (up to and including 900mm H) to incorporate the new closed eye attachment.
Queensland
Queensland has increased the required
clearances for aerials that cross vehicle
access paths. This means that the point
of attachment on new building works will
have to be raised in accordance with
these rules. To meet this requirement,
B&R have introduced a new range of
“extra high” raiser brackets, which are
Energex approved and available now
from your local electrical wholesaler.
Part numbers for these new brackets
are 4F & 4R (1200mm H) & 5F (1500 mm H).

raiser brackets, within the newest
edition of their Service & Installation
Rules. This new format takes into
account OH&S issues and structural
issues and has been made retrospective
for all brackets sold within the Victorian
market. We are pleased to advise that all
of B&R’s Victorian raiser brackets have
been recertified by the Victorian SIR
Management Committee to conform with
these new requirements.
