SPD’s class 2 fine protection |
 | | These devices have exceptionally fast response times (<25ns). This limits the amount of let through current. The Class 2 fine protection devices have low to medium diverting capacity and excellent residual voltages (Imax up to 8kA, cascade residual voltage < 800V). |
| | Class 2 fine protection devices are specifically designed to enhance the performance of the Class 2 medium protection devices. When Class 2 medium & Class 2 fine protection devices are used in cascade, the residual voltage is reduced to 800V or below. This is generally accepted as the safe limit for computer equipment and other sensitive electronic equipment.
Class configuration- 2 and 4 pole devices.
- Imax kA – 8kA.
- A green LED on the front face indicates the status of the SPD.
Other technical characteristics - Connection: 6mm² flexible, 10mm² rigid.
- Type of protection – common and differential modes.
- Degree of protection: IP 20.
